I'm a woman with endometriosis and naturally curly hair, and I lost a lot of it, twice. At my worst I wore a bun every day and was scared to touch my own head. Today my curls are full again.
"Apple" is a pen name. Hair loss is personal, and writing anonymously lets me share every detail honestly, including the parts I'm not proud of.
Who I write for
Women who take pride in their hair, who would rather avoid harsh or toxic options where they can, and who feel like they've tried everything. If you've been told your bloods are "normal" while your hair keeps falling out, you're in the right place.
How I write
- Lived experience first. Everything here happened to me. I say "what worked for me", never "this will cure you".
- Research linked, honestly. When I mention a study, I link it and tell you its limits, like a trial that only included men.
- Honest recommendations. Some product links on this site are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. I only recommend things I have used or would use myself, and a commission never decides what I write.
- Not medical advice. I'm not a doctor, naturopath or dietitian. Use what you read here to ask better questions of the professionals who can examine you.
Personal experience and general education only, not medical, nutritional or diagnostic advice. Results vary. Please talk to your own qualified practitioner before changing anything. "Apple" is a pen name.
